QuARanTine Art Resources: Week of March 16-20
At Westinghouse Arts Academy, art is our passion, and it’s what brings us together.
As the unprecedented events of the coronavirus outbreak necessitating us to stop meeting physically, our staff and student body have come together online. Primarily through our Facebook and Instagram accounts, we’ve been sharing arts challenges and other resources to keep kids interested in studio, digital, literary, and performing arts connected with the mediums that inspire them, even through tough times.
Our studio arts teachers post daily art challenges on their Studio Arts Instagram account. These include digital arts challenges, and anyone can participate.
Our Dance Department Instagram has a daily roundup of classes to keep you moving.
Our Literary Arts Instagram account has daily challenges as well.
Some of the highlights posted this week include:
Local cartoonist Joe Wos is teaching cartooning online.
>Google has free virtual tours of museums.
