Phipps Fairchild Challenge 3 2018-2019


For this challenge our students had to research an invasive plant in Western Pennsylvania and what can individuals and or the community can do to combat it.  Coincidentally, our school is home to a Chinese Sumac. These types of trees are found in temperate climates in deciduous forest biomes. Known as “Trees of heaven” These pesky trees were becoming rampant, so our environmental team came up with solutions to combat this invasive plant species.
